This site will feature some of my designs, finished objects and, when I learn how to do it, some of my free patterns and links to my favourite yarn stores.
I volunteer at a local charity, the Finsbury Park Homeless Family Project, as a knitting instructor, so I will be featuring some photos and news from that and also the Transitions Finsbury Park Well Oiled Festival, where my friend Susie (of Sosusie yarns) and I spent the day teaching people of all ages how to knit.
I also hold an informal weekly knitting group in The Stapleton Tavern in Stroud Green on a Thursday evening. See link for more details.
Designs I’m currently working on are hats for winter. I’ve just designed a lovely, warm men’s hat in chunky merino wool. It is a lovely pattern but has come up slightly small even after blocking so got a bit of tweaking to do on that. I’m also working on some ladies hats in a merino, silk and mohair blend, lightweight but very luxurious and warm. They have a deep crown and a wide fold-up cuff that can be worn slightly slouchy or pulled down over the ears. I hope to get the photos on here soon.
As always, if you want to contact me re. knitting workshops, parties, one-to-one classes or if you want to speak to me about a bespoke garment please contact me.
very nice.
I love your Goose Inspired handwarmers and was wondering if you could e-mail me the instructions. I have an average sized hand. I love knitting hats too and will be following your link to see what you’re working on!
