  1. Very cute socks, and I like the fact that they are SHORT socks having yet completed any FULL pairs of socks–I wonder if I could manage these.

  2. OMG! They are so cute with the shoes, they match almost perfectly. How awesome is that?

  3. Awwwww, those are so cute! I just love short socks.

  4. Well they turned out great! Very cute little socksies! ;o)

  5. Wow, its been a long time since I was here!
The socks look amazing!! And that yarn pyramid is very tempting, it looks so soft!!

  6. Thanks for posting the pattern; I’ll add it to the pile of “things I want to knit when I have time!” 🙂

  7. thanks for posting this! i think I’m might finally knit some socks! LOL surely I can do ankle length right? right? 🙂

  8. Definitely on my to do list – love this style of socks.

  9. love those! and your shoes, and your tatoos…oh heck love the entire post!!!

  10. Love the socks and thanks for sharing the pattern.

  11. There’s a mistake in your heel turn. You seem to be missing a P1 at the end of each of the purl rows.

Loving the pattern so far. It’s my first sock!

  12. Had to share the pic with you Dawn – on my blog I posted my first finished sock from your pattern!! Yippeeee….thanks for your great pattern.

  13. Help!! I didn’t have any trouble at all on my first sock. but now
…at the end of the heel flap I have 24 stitches? [is that right?
then when I follow the pattern…]
    Turn Heel:
K 1/2 the stitches plus 2 more, K2tog, K1, turn [so, knit 14 stiches, then kstog, k1 and carry on as below…]
    Sl 1 P5, P2tog, P1, turn
    Sl 1, K6, k2tog, K1, turn
    Sl 1, P7, P2tog, P1, turn
Cont. working one extra stitch each time (K8, P9, K10, P11…) [at the end these I have more stitches to purl than knits??]
[is it right that I would continue from the P7 row with
    sl 1, k8, k2tog, k1, turn
    sl 1, p9, p2tog, p1, turn
    sl 1, k10, k2tog, k1, turn
    sl 1, p11, p2tog, p1, turn
    sl 1, k12, k2tog, k1, turn
    sl 1, p13, p2tog, p1, turn
    sl 1, k14, k2tog, k1, turn
    sl 1, p15, p2tog, p1, turn
sl 1, k16… ?] doing it like that I’m running out of stitches to work on the knit side when I still have stitches to work on the purl side.
Hope you understand my problem, my description isn’t great… I’ve ripped out 3 times tonight and still can’t get it. As far as I know, I followed exactly on my first sock and it worked out fine. I’m sure I’m doing something goofy…

  14. Hi Dawn, thanks for the answer. Your solving of my mystery was exactly right. I kept thinking I started with the wrong # of stitches so I would never get it right, but 24 is the right starting #. Because I’m so new at knitting socks I had zero trust that I was doing it right. Thanks again for taking the time to help me out.

  15. I made socks to my mom and DH’s mom. Your pattern is easy to follow and very nice to knit! Thank you for the pattern!

  16. Help! This is my first pair of socks, and I am having trouble picking up the gussets. When I finish turning the heel, I have 15 stitches on needle #1, ready to knit with needle #2, correct? However, when I pick up the 16 plus 1 stitches for the gusset, the working yarn is in the middle of the stitches on needle #1, and the next step has you knitting on needle #2 and #3, with no mention of the stitches you picked up on needle #1. How is this supposed to work? Also, when does needle #4 come back in? At this point, I only have 3 needles holding stitches…

  19. have you this roll top socks written for circular needles. I have knitted dpn’s.

  20. sorry I meant to have not knitted on dpn’s

  21. Help! In picking up the gussets, your last instruction in that sections says( Knit 1/2 the heel stitches from needle #1 onto needles #4.)
Does that mean 1 or 2, or half (1/2) of the heel stitches?

I put half on and I am having problems 😂
