It's in the queue!

I haven't had a chance to do anything with the Free Spirit Topper project yet - I just ordered it recently - but it'll be created with Scarfie yarn, which I love. It's so soft and easy to knit with - I can hardly wait to get started. For a change, I'm going to make something for me. Thanks to customer, Tilly Perry, for suggesting a change to the sleeve length. I may make them a tad longer. I love the longer length of the body of the topper, so we'll see how that goes as get into the project. I love to get ideas from others. I have several colors of Scarfie yarn in my stash, all waiting to be made into something wonderful. Thanks, LB, for all your great yarns.

Good beginner project

The pattern is well written. Experienced knitters will find ways to customize the pattern to their own particular needs---shorter or longer length---or adding sleeves to the drop shoulder-line. The yarn specified is perfect for the pattern. I also made a few changes to neckline, deciding to decrease 6 or 7 stitches for a more rounded neckline to flatter my sloping shoulders. I made the decreases between the seed stitch borders and the main body of stockinette pattern. Naturally, I needed to increase 6 to 7 stitches before working down to the bottom edge of the backs to make the front and back "equal width".
