Absolute Beginner Knit Scarf

Materials:
- 1 pair US 10 (6.0 mm) straight knitting needles
- 1 cake of Bernat Pop! in the “Full Spectrum” colorway (280 yards, Aran weight, “4” on the yarn weight scale)
- Tapestry Needle
- Scissors
- Ruler or tape measure (optional)

Sizing:
- 6 inches wide
- 60 inches long
Abbreviations and Tutorial Links:
Instructions:
CO 24 sts.
Row 1: K all sts.
Repeat row 1 until scarf is desired length.
BO all sts.
Finishing:
Weave in all ends and you’re finished!

I wanted to print out directions for a friend who does not have a PC. I don't want to print out 6 pages…can't you condense said directions?
You determine how many pages you print, not this page. When you right click on print, it will put you into print preview, in print preview change "print all" to just the page you want with the pattern on them. Your other option is to just write it out by hand, since the pattern is only 4 lines of instructions.
Condensing the directions is not necessary, you just need to know how to print just the pages the pattern is on. With the page open, right click on your mouse, this will open a new window, in the new window scroll down to print and click on it, this will take you to print preview, in print preview, scroll through the pages and make note of which pages the actual pattern is on, remove the "all" designation in print preview by unclicking it and in the line for specific page numbers, type in the numbers you wish to print, then click print. This will work to print anything off your device on any page. The other option since the actual pattern is just 4 lines would be to just write it out, it would take less take less than 3 mins. How do u keep your yarn from not getting shorter as u cast on
If you are using a long tail cast on, your yarn should get shorter as you cast on. To determine how much yarn you need, wrap the working yarn around the needle being used to cast on for the amount of stitches you need, then pull enough to create the tail to weave in later and start the cast of from there.
You can measure one inch per stitch or you can wrap your yarn around the needle you intend to use for the amount of the cast on stitches needed then pull extra for the tail, you can be a little generous with the tail incase you've accidentally miscounted. Happy knitting!
This inspired me to try kniiting again. I tend to get over ambitious, diving into double knitting or cables, etc, without ever finishing anything. I'm going to keep it simple and do this! But I will change colors in a Fibonacci sequence or using digits of pi just to be me. Thank you for this!

Does this width (6 inches) and length (60 inches) use up the entire 280 yards? I'd like to know if make it wider will I be sacrificing length. Thanks!
