Burlington Knit Oversized Wrap Free Pattern

I have always been a fan of ponchos and shawls so I am sure it is no surprise I love a good Oversized Wrap too. But to me, big oversized wrap are even more special because they are basically blankets we can wear in public. And let’s face it… that is a very good thing in cozy season. So when Lion Brand asked me if I wanted to try the new Color Made Easy yarn, I knew instantly an oversized wrap would be in the works.

I incorporated the drop stitch to create a design that is both stylish and oh so cozy. I truly love how it came out and wear it in and out of the house. It is seriously cozy and a great pattern for some Netflix and chill time.

Special shout out to Lion Brand Yarn for providing the materials for this design.

NOTES:

Gauge:  4 inch sq = 9 stitches x 16 rows in garter stitch

The drop effect is created by wrapping your YO in the Drop Section the amount of times called for. So a YO5 means wrapping yarn around needle 5 times for each st.

The YO at the end of each row creates the increase and the design element as well as increases 2 sts every other row.

Shown on model 5’1” with 3” heels. You can take rows out in the center portion for a shorter piece
