Paragon Shawl

Important note: This written pattern and its charts have been reviewed and updated on October 28th, 2020.

Hello everyone! it's the first time for me to work using Lion Brand's Mandala yarn, and What I liked about it is that the knitting went on smoothly. The feel of it is soft, even though it is 100% acrylic. I decided to design a shawl using only one skein, and that's what happened. The only modification I had to make was the cut of the white part yarn at the beginning of the ball, and adding it when working the last rows, since the arrangement of colors in this type of yarn is crucial to the design.
I hope you like this shawl, you can add it to the list of what to wear for next fall. Happy knitting days to you all!

Cast off Method (⟵ click on the link to see tutorial video):

1. Co 2 sts from the first st this way: *
insert right needle into the first st as to knit it, yo and draw out to make a new st (don't slip the st on left needle), slip the new st from right to left, repeat from *once more. now you have 3 sts out of the first one.

2. Cast off these 3 sts: *knit 2 sts, pass the first one over the second, repeat 3 times, slip the st that is left on right needle back to left needle.

3. repeat steps 1 and 2 to end.

Cut yarn, weave in loose ends, block the shawl and enjoy wearing.

    1. Hi Anjela
You are right, it's totally confusing.
Read the paragraph again, for I've rewritten it, and now you'll find a very good link to make this cast off technique very clear.
      Have a good day

    2. That is a much better explanation and the video was a great help. I haven't gotten to the cast off section yet but I like to read through a whole pattern first to see if there are any techniques that I am unfamiliar with.
