If you've ever looked at a top-down triangular shawl and thought, "I like it -- but it's going to take forever to get to the interesting bits," then this is the shawl for you.

It has a conventional top-down option, but there's also a scarf version that skips all the lead-up and begins right where the slip-stitch pattern is. So whether you're in the mood for some (fairly) mindless knitting first, or just want to skip to the interesting bits, this one's for you!
