Product Details
The inspiration for Cascade Yarns Flame Tree (Beaded) Shawl knit in Aegean Tweed comes
from the flame tree (Gulmohar), which is a much-loved sight in India. Vertically
flowing leaf shapes form the body of the shawl. The border was designed to have
a geometric element for contrast, as well as a graceful stylized leaf shape to
maintain a visual continuum with the body. The shawl is worked top-down in two
lace patterns that flow into each other. The Silverline seed beads are used to
accentuate the elegant lines of the border. You will need approximately
400 size 6/0 beads. The lace patterns are charted and written out.
