Easy Scrap Yarn Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern- make a dent in your yarn stash with this plush blanket!

Easy Scrap Yarn Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern

Anyone who knits knows that you end up with quite the stash of scrap yarn! This baby blanket uses only scrap yarn and it will make quite the dent in your collection!

This blanket is knit on the diagonal using 2 strands of yarn at the same time. The entire blanket is knit using the garter stitch. As you run out of a length of yarn, just add another! I incoprporated the new strands of yarn at the edges of the blanket. I found them easier to weave in this way.

Note- This pattern uses a knitting technique called YO “yarn over”. If you’re unfamiliar with YO, it is a technique in which the yarn is passed over the right-hand knitting needle. It increases a stitch and it also leaves a decorative space in the work.
