I love this cowl so much! And I'm really excited to share it with you. While originally planned for release last spring, I'm really excited that the Wickford Cowl is now published. I grabbed a ball of this (new? at least new to me) yarn from Lion Brand, "Local Grown". It's a 100% USA Wool. I like trying out new offerings from Lion Brand and genuinely like the quality of this yarn so far. I'm curious to see how this hat knits up as I work on this hat and to see how this wool holds up over time. I was looking through old pics and realized I hadn't posted this finished hat! This is the Westminster pattern with an extra long brim so it folds over. I have jokinly called it the public safety hat because it is so vibrant. This is knit with Hedgehog Fibers sock and I've mislabeled the band so if anyone knows what color it is, let me know? I finished but hadn't shared my DRK everyday sweater! I love this knit so much. The yarn is Miss Babs Yowza. I had three skeins but could have gotten away with two. 🧡🧡 Oof, my first broken chia goo! I love these needles and its easy to replace but had such a "noooooo" moment because I just want to finish my new sweater 😅😅 I'm continuing my New Year's tradition of sharing a new free pattern on New Year's Day. Technically, this hat - Beacon Hat-Worsted - is a variation on the original Beacon Hat pattern, but I've wanted to adapt the Beacon Hat for worsted weight yarn and I'm excited to share the result with you.
