I edited these pattern from my collection of patterns to include information about the original thread and where to buy substitutions, crochet patterns in both US and UK terms, and added UK, US, and Australian yarn names for all my overseas friends.

The vintage patterns are out of copyright in the US.

Please check the copyright rules for other countries to make sure the copyright has expired.

Feel free to use them any way you want. You may edit it, change it, and create items for both personal and business uses.

Feel free to give these away for free, but please do not include my edited portions in any books or pamphlets you offer for sale.

The patterns from Sept 9, 2021 are my own creations. Please respect my copyright. Feel free to use the items you make from them in any way you want.

WELCOME

I grew up in rural Oregon where every woman I knew did handcrafts. Not as an art form or a hobby, but as a way to decorate their homes.

By the time I was 10 years old, I knew how to knit, crochet, and embroider. I added weaving, hooking and tying rugs and many other crafts over the years.

Mama and I never saw a pattern, thread, or yarn that we didn’t love. She taught me how to crochet when I was nine years old, and I never lost my love for handwork. I inherited all of her patterns when she died. I finally decided that it was time to preserve these for future generations.

Mama always said that when things were bad, we could put the knots in our stomachs into our crochet.

I always said that any flat surface that was covered with handcraft did not need dusting as often.

We both agreed that using sugar water to stiffen crochet items drew ants.

Almost everything on this site is crafting related. Occasionally I wander off into this ‘n’ that territory.

Feel free to look around. Find and download patterns. You will find information about what is included in the patterns and how you may use them on the left.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog.
