The neckline is ribbed and seamed into a simple boatneck before the sleeve stitches are picked up across the armholes and knit flat all the way to the end of the ribbed cuff. Minimal shaping through knit 2 together decreases gathers the contrast striped sleeve just before the ribbing, for a cozy fit.
