Back

With straight needles, cast on 110(120-130-138-148-158) sts. Work even in St st for 2”, end on WS. Dec row (rs) – k14(16-19-20-20-20), * ssk, k14(15-16-17-19-21), rep from * 4 times more, ssk, k to end – 104(114-124-132-142-152) sts. Rep dec row every 2” 5 times more, knitting 1 less st between ssk’s each time – 74(84-94-102-112-122) sts. Work even until piece measures 14” from beg, end on ws. Shape armholes (rs) – bind off 5(6-7-8-9-10) sts at beg of the next 2 rows – 64(72-80-86-94-102) sts. Dec row (rs) – k1, k2 tog, k to last 3 sts, ssk, k1 – 62(70-78-84-92-100) sts. Rep dec row 4(8-10-11-13-14) times more – 54(54-58-62-66-72) sts. Work even until armholes measure 3(3-3½-4-4½-5)”, end on WS. Shape neck (rs) – k19(19-21-23-25-28), join another hank of yarn and bind off center 16 sts, k to end. Working both sides at once, bind off 3 sts at each neck edge once, 2 sts twice; dec 1 st at each neck edge every row 4 times, then every rs row 5 times – 3(3-5-7-9-12) sts each side. Finishing

Sew shoulder and side seams.
neck edging – with rs facing, using circular needle, beg at center back neck, pick up and k142 sts around entire neck edge. Mark for beg of rnd and carry marker up. Purl 4 rnds. Bind off.
armhole edging – with rs facing, using circular needle, beg at side seam, pick up and k90(90-94-98-102-106) sts around armhole edge. Complete same as neck edging.
